First and foremost, Live In Care at Wilson\u2019s Care takes a personalised approach. We fully believe that one size doesn\u2019t \u2018fit all\u2019 and especially in a care environment. Every client has unique needs and choices and we make sure that they are considered at every step when designing your care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that YOU stay in control of your care at all times. We would organise an initial meeting with you and \/ or your loved ones to find out how you want to live, your preferences and your choices. From this, a care package would be designed with the option to amend as circumstances, health or choices change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recruitment:<\/mark><\/strong>
We would match a carer \/ carers with you, focusing on your lifestyle, personality and needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The live in carers' working day is normally 8 hours, with a daily 2 hour break - covered by one of our own domiciliary care staff (this is only put in place if you are not able or prefer not to be left alone for 2 hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cleaning & Household Chores:<\/mark><\/strong>
Clear responsibilities for the carer will be set after agreement with yourself. The same would apply to outings \/ caring for pets \/ clubs and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medication Management & Health Support:<\/mark><\/strong>
Medication management and health support will also be agreed upon and can be amended to suit your changing needs.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Shared schedules - what does this mean?<\/mark><\/strong>
It means that your carer would work 1 of 3 different rotas \/ working patterns - 1 week on and 1 week off \/ 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. On the weeks your carer is off, another matched carer would attend to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prices:<\/mark><\/strong>
Prices start from \u00a31050 depending on needs, circumstances and can alter over time in response to changing health or other factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any emergencies - such as the carer falling ill or having an accident - can be immediately covered by Wilson\u2019s Care domiciliary team. This means that there is always local back up support, which is more difficult to navigate with large corporate live-in care providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Night Care \/ Support:<\/mark><\/strong>
Live In carers are there to support you but are not expected to work 24 hours per day and a lack of sleep would impact their ability to delivery daytime care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will always be a degree of need - at some time or another - for support during the night and on an ad-hoc basis your carer would deliver this. However should the support needed become a regular occurence, then the carer might need additional rest time during the day. Should this become the case, the care package would be reassessed and changes put in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What accommodation is required for the Live In carer? A bedroom is essential, with enough space for them to relax and they must have access to basic facilities such as a bathroom, kitchen and the internet (as they will need to upload their notes onto the Wilson\u2019s Care website).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
